The hybrid digital plant model for a sustainable steelmaking facility

Wednesday 3rd June 08:40 - 09:10

Conference

The hybrid digital green plant has been designed as a zero emission, fully circular steelmaking complex.

With a production capacity of 730,000 tons of special steels, the plant represents a new model of sustainable steelmaking and of effective integration between industry and the surrounding territory. This is made possible through a combination of major improvements in energy consumption, acoustic and environmental impact, total water recovery, increased material circularity, and the valorization of production residues.

The plant, equipped with Q-One technology, will enable the direct use of energy generated from renewable sources.

Inside the facility, all operations will be managed through Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning systems, supporting predictive maintenance and enhancing operational activities through Augmented Reality tools.
